About the Grant

Our Women Impact Grant application cycle is now open. This funding opportunity supports Tarrant County micro-nonprofits serving women and girls in crisis, micro-nonprofits founded and led by Black women, and Tarrant County women aged 23 and over pursuing educational opportunities. The grant program is designed to empower women and the organizations that serve them by providing targeted financial support where it is needed most. Whether you are a grassroots nonprofit making a difference in your community or an individual woman seeking to advance your education, this grant aims to remove barriers and create pathways to success.

Why This Grant Matters

Tarrant County is home to many dedicated micro-nonprofits doing essential work with limited resources. These organizations often lack access to traditional funding sources, yet they are closest to the communities they serve and most responsive to local needs. By providing flexible funding for program support and capacity building, the Women Impact Grant helps these organizations sustain and grow their impact. For individual women, the grant addresses a critical barrier: the cost of education.

Whether pursuing a first-time degree or professional certification, women aged 23 and over often face unique financial challenges, balancing education with work, family, and other responsibilities. This grant provides direct support to help women advance their education and careers, creating ripple effects that benefit families, communities, and the local economy. The formal presentation at the annual Black Philanthropy Month fundraiser on August 28, 2026, celebrates award recipients and highlights the power of collective giving to create change.

Funding Opportunities

For Nonprofit Organizations:

This funding opportunity supports Tarrant County micro-nonprofits meeting the following criteria:

Eligibility Requirements:

• Annual operational budgets of $250,000 or less
• Headquartered and operating in Tarrant County
• Two types of funding available:

1. Organizations serving women and girls in crisis:

• Funding for program/project support
• Request range: $1,000 – $10,000

2. Organizations founded and led by Black women:

• Funding for capacity building support
• Request range: $1,000 – $10,000

Required Documentation:

• Organizational documentation
• Detailed budget for proposed project or capacity building activities

For Individual Applicants:

Educational Funding (up to $2,500):

• For women aged 23 and over
• Pursue a first-time Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
• Proof of current enrollment is required
• Funds cannot be applied to outstanding balances

Professional or Career Certifications (up to $2,500):

• For women aged 23 and over
• Applicants do not need to be currently enrolled but must be able to enroll in the next available program start date if selected
• Supports professional development and career advancement

Important Dates

• Application Period Opens: April 1, 2026
• Application Deadline: May 31, 2026
• Award Notifications: July 2026
• Formal Presentation: August 28, 2026 at the annual Black Philanthropy Month fundraiser

All applicants will be notified of their status by July. Award recipients will be formally recognized at the annual Black Philanthropy Month fundraiser on August 28, 2026.
