
The Swedish Institute is offering a fully funded master’s scholarship for women from selected African and Asian countries to pursue STEM-related programs in Sweden. The aim is to empower women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Eligibility Criteria
- Identify as a woman
- Citizen of one of the following countries: Nigeria, Kenya, Rwanda, South Africa, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, or Vietnam
- Applied to a STEM master’s program in Sweden
- Demonstrated work and leadership experience
- Not currently studying in Sweden or previously awarded an SI scholarship

- Full tuition fee coverage
- Monthly stipend of SEK 12,000
- Travel grant of SEK 15,000

Timeline
- Apply to master’s programs: October 15, 2025 – January 15, 2026
- SI scholarship application: February 9–25, 2026
- Final results: April 23, 2026
How to Apply
- Apply to eligible master’s programs via University Admissions Sweden.
- Submit the SI scholarship application during the application window.
- Prepare CV, motivation letter, transcripts, and proof of work/leadership.
