About Shaanxi Normal University CSC Scholarship
The CSC High-Level Postgraduate Program represents a comprehensive scholarship initiative financed by the Chinese government, designed to enable international students to pursue postgraduate education in China. Shaanxi Normal University CSC Scholarship Requirements

• Applicants are required to hold citizenship outside of China.
• Satisfactory physical and mental well-being is mandatory.
• For Master’s level programs, candidates need to possess an undergraduate degree and be aged 34 or younger.
• For Doctoral level programs, candidates need to possess a postgraduate degree and be aged 39 or younger.
• Fulfillment of SNNU’s program-specific admission criteria is mandatory for all applicants.
• Competence in the medium of instruction (English or Chinese) is essential.
• For programs taught in Chinese, submission of HSK certification may be necessary.
• For programs taught in English, IELTS/TOEFL results or an authorized document confirming English proficiency must be provided.
• Evidence of robust academic achievement is mandatory.

Application Date and Process
Access and complete both the SNNU Online Application System (https://snnu.17gz.org/) and the CSC Online Application System (https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/) prior to February 23, 2026 (submissions received after this date will not be considered). Applicants must enter 10718 as SNNU’s agency number and select the type B scholarship category.

Applicants must accurately complete the online application forms and upload the following supporting documentation:

1.1 Copy of Passport Bio-page. In cases where the applicant’s existing passport validity expires before September 2026, a new passport must be obtained prior to application submission.

1.2 Notarized Copy of Highest Academic Credential. Graduands must provide official confirmation of current enrollment from their institution. Documentation in any language other than Chinese or English requires accompanying notarized translations in either Chinese or English.

1.3 Official Academic Records. Complete transcripts covering all semesters of undergraduate, postgraduate (if applicable), and doctoral (if applicable) studies must be submitted. These records must be officially issued and sealed by the relevant university office, such as academic affairs, graduate school, or student administration.

1.4 Language Proficiency Documentation. Candidates applying to Chinese-medium programs need to provide valid HSK Level 4 or higher certificates. Those applying to English-medium programs must submit valid English proficiency evidence, such as IELTS or TOEFL score reports. Individuals who have previously obtained a degree from a Chinese institution or completed studies with Chinese as the language of instruction may be exempt from HSK submission requirements.

1.5 Academic Proposal. A comprehensive study plan of at least 1000 Chinese characters or English words must be submitted. For doctoral candidates, this proposal requires the signature of the intended Chinese supervisor at SNNU.

1.6 Two Letters of Recommendation. These references must be composed exclusively in Chinese or English by professors or associate professors, addressing the applicant’s academic goals in China, overall capabilities, future potential assessment, and any supervisory collaboration or institutional exchange arrangements.

1.7 Copy of the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. This document must be completed entirely in English, with the original retained by the applicant. The standardized form, issued by Chinese health authorities, can be obtained from the nominating agency. Comprehensive completion covering all specified medical items is essential; forms with omissions, missing physician signatures, absent hospital stamps, or unsealed applicant photographs are considered invalid. Medical examinations should be scheduled appropriately as results remain valid for only six months.

1.8 Certificate of No Criminal Conviction. A valid police clearance certificate from relevant local authorities must be provided, typically issued within six months preceding the application deadline.

1.8 Supplementary Materials. Published academic articles, patent documentation, honors, and any additional evidence demonstrating research capacity and overall academic excellence.

All documentation must be presented in Chinese or English, with notarized translations into either language required for materials originally in other languages.
