Now Hiring: Digital Transformation & Knowledge Management Intern – Home-Based

Application Deadline: May 26, 2026, 04:59 AM

Background

Core principles at UNDP include Diversity, Equity and Inclusion: diversity is valued as an expression of the multiplicity of nations and cultures where operations occur, inclusion is fostered as a means of ensuring that all personnel are empowered to contribute to the organization’s mission, and equity and fairness are guaranteed in all actions. A ‘leave no one behind’ approach is taken toward diversity efforts, which means increasing representation of underserved populations. Strong encouragement is extended to individuals who identify as belonging to marginalized or excluded populations. Sexual exploitation and abuse, any kind of harassment (including sexual harassment), and discrimination are not tolerated by UNDP. Rigorous reference and background checks will, therefore, be undergone by all selected candidates. International development is led by UNDP as the primary United Nations agency. Poverty eradication and inequality reduction are pursued by the organization across 170 countries and territories. Support is provided to countries in developing policies, leadership skills, partnerships, and institutional capabilities to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. Four strategic objectives guide UNDP’s work as outlined in the UNDP Strategic Plan 2026-2029. These objectives collectively define the organization’s contribution to human development: prosperity for all is expanded, effective governance is strengthened, a healthy planet is safeguarded, and crisis resilience is built. Three accelerators enable these objectives and drive transformative impact across the portfolio: digital and AI innovation, gender equality, and sustainable finance. Tangible improvements in people’s lives are supported by UNDP through this integrated approach, and sustainable development is advanced at scale.

Partners are supported by UNDP through its Sustainable Finance Hub (SFH) in promoting financing for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As an accelerator of the UNDP Strategic Plan, sustainable finance strengthens countries’ ability to mobilize, align, and deploy finance at scale for national priorities. International and country level policy reform is supported by UNDP as a catalyst for system-wide change, stronger policy environments, better-functioning markets, and more coherent financing strategies for sustainable development. Three interconnected portfolios deliver SFH work: 1) Public Finance for the SDGs; 2) Private Finance for the SDGs; and 3) Global & Country Financing Policy Frameworks. More information can be obtained by visiting the Sustainable Finance Hub website.

  • Compliance and responsible use must be ensured by incorporating basic data protection/confidentiality guidance into automation and AI-assisted processes.
  • Coordination with IT/digital focal points is required to align solutions with available licenses, security constraints, and approved tools.
  • Training and onboarding of colleagues on new workflows must be provided via short guides, “how-to” videos/slides, and office hours to support adoption.
