The L’Oréal Turkey 2026 Call for Applications signifies a significant milestone, as it celebrates the 24th year of the prestigious For Women in Science program in Türkiye. Operated in partnership with the UNESCO National Commission of Turkey, the program has consistently aimed to recognize, empower, and elevate women scientists, providing them with vital resources to further their research and careers. Since its inaugural launch in 2003, the program has successfully awarded a total of 128 endowments to deserving women scientists in Türkiye. These endowments have played a crucial role in fostering groundbreaking research, encouraging innovative ideas, and helping to break down barriers faced by women in STEM fields. • Project Duration: Should be less than 1 year

Eligibility Criteria

• Citizenship: Republic of Turkey Citizenship
• Degree: Open to scientists with a doctoral or post-doctoral degree
• Age: Under 40 years of age at the date of January 1, 2026
• Project Categories: Life Sciences and Physical Sciences
• Project Location: Should be implemented in Türkiye

Why This Program Matters

The L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science program is a global initiative that has supported thousands of women scientists across more than 110 countries. The Turkish national program, now in its 24th year, has recognized 128 women researchers, providing them with critical funding to advance their research in Life and Physical Sciences. Women remain underrepresented in scientific research globally, particularly in leadership roles and in certain disciplines. By providing financial support and recognition at a crucial career stage (post-doctoral and early career, under age 40), the program helps women scientists establish independent research careers, publish their findings, and become role models for the next generation.
