Through its Young Professionals Initiative, the International News Media Association (INMA) aims to find 30 rising stars in news media with early career achievements, insights into innovation, ability to influence, and likely management skills across advertising, audience, business intelligence, content and product, and leadership functions at media companies. Applications are currently being accepted for INMA’s 30 Under 30 Awards for Young Professionals in the News Media Industry 2026. The awards recognize that young professionals are not just the future of news media they are the present. They bring fresh perspectives, digital fluency, and innovative approaches that are essential for news organizations navigating rapid technological change and evolving audience expectations. By celebrating these rising stars, INMA aims to inspire others and demonstrate the value that young talent brings to the industry.

Eligibility Requirements
- To be considered for INMA’s 30 Under 30 Awards, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be employed by a news media company (full-time, part-time, or contractual positions are eligible)
- Must be under the age of 30 as of 19 June 2026 (applicants born on or after 20 June 1996 are eligible)
- Must be a big picture thinker with an ability to shape the news media industry
- Must have demonstrated expertise and accomplishments thus far in your career, showing early impact and promise
- Must bring soft skills that make a great leader or show talent, including:
- Knowledge-hungry and continuous learning mindset
- Team player with collaborative spirit
- Entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to innovate
- Ability to influence others and drive change
Eligible Functions:
Applicants may work across various functions within news media companies, including:
- Advertising and sales
