The Harvard LEAD Fellowship, a prestigious program by the Harvard Global Health Institute and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, is now accepting applications for the 2026–2027 cohort. This fully funded opportunity is designed to support and advance the leadership potential of women and gender-diverse individuals working in global health, particularly from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).
About the Fellowship
The LEAD Fellowship is a one-year leadership development program that combines virtual learning with a six-week in-residence experience at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Fellows participate in tailored executive education, one-on-one mentorship, leadership coaching, and peer networking. The program is highly personalized, allowing each fellow to focus on their unique leadership journey.
Who Can Apply?
- Must identify as a woman or gender-diverse person
- Must have at least a Master’s degree or equivalent
- Minimum of ten years of professional experience in global health or a related field
- Must be working full-time in a global health role, preferably based in or impacting LMICs
- Applicants must be able to take a six-week leave from work to attend the in-person Harvard residency in April 2027
What the Fellowship Covers
- Travel, visa, and accommodation costs for the in-residence period
- Stipend to support living expenses during the six weeks at Harvard
- Access to Harvard resources, courses, mentorship, and networking events
- Continued virtual engagement before and after the residency
