About the Programme
The 2026 First National Bank (FNB) Graduate Programme is now welcoming applications. This programme offers permanent positions to successful candidates. Graduates will be integrated directly into specific business units within FNB’s retail and commercial banking divisions. They will join teams handling responsibilities in areas such as credit analytics, product and process development, technology advancement, financial/fraud/risk analysis, customer experience design, usability, brand management, and financial management.
The programme blends practical work experience with formal development. Participants will assume a full-time role within their assigned team while also engaging in compulsory monthly training workshops and a hands-on action learning project aimed at sharpening their professional skills and business insight.
Applications Requirements
To qualify, candidates are expected to satisfy the following prerequisites:
- Academic Achievement: Provide evidence of robust academic performance. Submission of an official academic transcript is compulsory.
- Field of Study: Be completing the final year of a pertinent university degree. Preference is given to graduates from the BSc and Commerce faculties in disciplines that include:
- Actuarial Science
- Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science
- Engineering, Physics, Chemistry
- Information Systems, Computer Science
- UX Design (usability and customer experience), or closely related fields.
- Critical Abilities: Demonstrate a strong aptitude for analysis and numeracy, coupled with well-developed problem-solving skills, which are deemed fundamental for the role.
