About the Scholarship Program
A brighter future in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), characterized by women’s empowerment, is the vision driving the Daughters for Life Foundation (DFL). We hold a core conviction that education holds transformative power. Hardship can be transcended and barriers broken through learning, allowing every woman to fulfill her aspirations and reach her full potential for excellence. As essential agents of change, community development, and progress, women have long played a crucial role. Higher education equips them to become innovators, changemakers, and leaders in diverse professional fields, thereby elevating their communities and helping to shape a future that is more prosperous, equitable, and just for everyone.

For more than fifteen years, the post-secondary education of women from the MENA region has been championed, supported, and invested in through the DFL scholarship program. Tuition, housing, meals, and airfare are covered by the fully funded scholarships we provide, enabled by our strategic partnerships with academic institutions globally. Undergraduate, graduate, and post-baccalaureate studies are all included in this program. The individuality of each scholar is celebrated by us, and flexibility in the choice of program and field is offered wherever possible. When options are limited, the best available opportunities are provided to candidates. Our offerings are subject to change each year based on program availability and the capacity of our academic partners.

Nearly 100 women have been impacted by this life-changing program since it began, empowering them to pursue education and leadership internationally. A diverse network of academic partners in North America, Europe, and elsewhere is collaborated with by DFL. We work proudly alongside institutions that share our like-minded mission to transform lives, one scholarship at a time. Annually, our list of participating partners and programs is updated. The current list of academic partners should be reviewed by applicants to explore available opportunities when preparing an application.

Eligibility Criteria
Female students from every ethnic, religious, and cultural background across the MENA region are eligible for the DFL Scholarship Program. Academic excellence, financial need, and a proven record of resilience in overcoming personal adversity must be demonstrated by eligible applicants. DFL also places great importance on identifying candidates who exhibit a commitment to giving back through knowledge sharing, volunteering, mentoring, or leading uplifting initiatives both during their studies and after graduation.

Your application is eligible if every one of the following conditions is met:

• You are a female student.
• You are both a citizen and a current resident of a MENA country.
  (Individuals holding dual citizenship or residing outside the MENA region are not eligible.)
• Financial and socio-economic need is demonstrated by you.
• You possess a commitment to return to your home country once your studies are completed.

How to Apply

STEP 2: Apply to Our Academic Partners

2. A careful review of the specific requirements for each desired program is essential.
3. To improve selection chances, applicants are strongly encouraged to apply to several programs or academic partners where possible.
4. Early initiation of applications is advised to ensure enough time for document preparation and submission.
