
The Women Entrepreneurship and Leadership for Africa (WELA) programme, initiated by the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), is an intensive, hands-on learning experience tailored to African women entrepreneurs. The programme explores the unique challenges, opportunities, and realities that women encounter while establishing, managing and leading enterprises across Africa.
WELA is specially curated to help participants identify viable business opportunities, build innovative strategies, and sustain profitable and resilient enterprises. Through this initiative, CEIBS fosters a collaborative and participatory learning environment where women can exchange experiences, develop strategic insights and strengthen critical management skills all within the broader framework of Africa’s women-focused economic development priorities.

The CEIBS Women Entrepreneurship and Leadership for Africa (WELA) initiative is designed to empower African women entrepreneurs through business education and leadership development. Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for WELA, applicants must:
- Be African women entrepreneurs actively involved in business operations.
- Own or lead a company or enterprise.
- Demonstrate leadership potential and a commitment to Africa’s economic advancement.
- Typically fall within the category of early- to mid-stage entrepreneurs.
