About the Incubator Programme
Standard Chartered, a leading international banking group with a presence in 59 of the world’s most dynamic markets, is proud to announce the fourth iteration of its Women in Tech (WiT) Incubator South Africa. Women in Tech is part of the bank’s commitment to fostering gender equality and driving innovation in the rapidly evolving technological landscape, aimed at empowering and supporting women entrepreneurs in the technology sector. Standard Chartered has partnered with WomHub on this programme to provide a platform for aspiring women entrepreneurs in South African STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Manufacturing) industries, developing their innovative tech-based business ideas and accelerating their growth. Through a comprehensive curriculum, the initiative aims to cultivate a supportive ecosystem that enables women to thrive and overcome barriers that hold them back. The programme is part of Future makers by Standard Chartered; the bank’s global initiative aimed at promoting economic inclusion for young people.
Programme Benefits
The 15 selected participants will undergo a 4-month incubator programme designed to accelerate their business growth.
Key Benefits Include:
- Focused sessions on developing personal growth and leadership skills, empowering participants to lead their ventures successfully
- Opportunities to network with potential investors and partners, providing valuable opportunities to secure funding and scale their businesses
- An exciting pitch competition where the top 5 winners will be awarded $10,000 each in non-dilutive seed funding
- Individual mentoring and financial coaching for the 5 winners over a 3-month period, offering personalized guidance and support
- Hub credits for WomHub’s innovation spaces for the duration of the programme

- Open to aspiring women entrepreneurs
- Applicants should be based in South Africa
