Application Deadline: October 12, 2026
About the Fund
The Resilience Fund invests in women and non-binary-led organizations working to strengthen climate resilience for women and communities across global value chains in South and Southeast Asia. It recognizes that climate impacts are shaped by interconnected social, economic, and environmental conditions and that women and gender-diverse people often face heightened risks while playing essential roles in sustaining families, livelihoods, and local economies. For this funding round, the Fund is prioritizing three connected areas that influence women’s health, wellbeing, and resilience across global value chains. Together, these priorities reflect the realities of people whose lives and livelihoods are affected by climate change, from the communities where goods are produced to the wider systems that support their work and wellbeing. Rather than limiting support to narrowly defined projects, the Fund provides flexible, unrestricted funding. This approach allows organizations to direct resources toward their most urgent needs, adapt as circumstances change, and invest in the people, relationships, and systems that make their work sustainable. The Fund also uses participatory grantmaking and community-based peer review, bringing the knowledge and perspectives of applicants and communities into funding decisions. By centering those closest to the challenges, the Resilience Fund aims to support locally grounded solutions and strengthen the leadership of women- and non-binary-led organizations.

Focus Areas
The Fund is seeking organizations whose work connects across all three of the following interconnected priority areas:
- Women’s health, safety and resilience: Work that strengthens women’s health, safety, livelihoods, financial security, leadership, decision-making, mobility, and ability to participate and thrive in their communities and workplaces
- Community-led climate adaptation: Work that helps women and their communities prepare for, respond to, and adapt to climate and environmental impacts, such as extreme heat, flooding, drought, storms and changing weather patterns
- Connection to global value chains: Work with women workers and/or communities connected to global value chains
Application Process and Key Details
The application process has a two-step proposal process:
- Phase 1: Submit the first application to share basic information about your organization and its work and mission
- Phase 2: A longlist of organizations will be invited to submit a second application to complete the process
- Participatory Grantmaking Process: A distinctive element of the Resilience Fund is its approach to deciding which organizations receive funding. Instead of leaving grant decisions entirely to conventional donor staff, the Fund uses participatory grantmaking. Eligible proposals progressing through the process are reviewed with involvement from community representatives and peer reviewers. Peer Panelists can include local gender activists, labor activists, value-chain experts, and representatives familiar with relevant communities.
- Learning Hub for Successful Grantees: Organizations selected for funding will also join the Resilience Fund Learning Hub. The Learning Hub is designed to connect grantee organizations, women’s funds, and civil society organizations. Participants can share experiences, examine challenges, exchange resources, identify lessons, and create new professional relationships.
- Application Language Support: The final application must be submitted in English. However, applicants can access free application and language assistance. Support is available in languages including Bengali/Bangla, Hindi, Tamil, Khmer, Vietnamese, Odia, and Marathi.
