About the Fellowship
The Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security (GIWPS) team is continuing to grow. The Hillary Rodham Clinton Research Fellowship is a one-year program that provides unique opportunities to a recent PhD or master’s level graduate to conduct rigorous, policy-oriented research to address key knowledge gaps in the field of Women, Peace and Security (WPS). Fellows should have working knowledge of the WPS agenda and related US and international policy frameworks. Candidates must be in the final semester of an advanced degree or have graduated with an advanced degree within the past three years, and must have a background in gender as it relates to International Affairs, particularly in conflict-affected and fragile settings. The Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security is a leading research institution dedicated to advancing women’s participation in peace and security. The Hillary Rodham Clinton Research Fellowship is one of the Institute’s flagship programs, named in honor of the former Secretary of State’s longstanding commitment to women, peace, and security.
