This internship is hosted by Egbin Power Plc, Nigeria’s largest power generation company, situated in Ijede, Ikorodu, Lagos State. With an impressive installed capacity of 1,320 MW, Egbin Power plays a vital role in Nigeria’s energy supply, contributing significantly to the nation’s development and economic growth. The PowerUp Internship Experience is carefully designed to provide participating students with comprehensive hands-on technical skills, industry exposure, and professional development opportunities that are essential for their future careers. Interns will have the chance to work alongside experienced professionals, participate in critical projects, and understand the operational, engineering, and technological aspects of large-scale power generation. Eligible Fields of Study
Applicants must be studying one of the following disciplines:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechatronics Engineering
- Chemistry/Chemical Engineering
- Computer Science
- Computer Engineering
Eligibility Requirements
To be considered, applicants must:
- Be enrolled in a recognized tertiary institution
- Have a minimum academic standing of Second Class Upper (2:1) or its equivalent at the time of application
- Be eligible for the Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES)
