Courses Offered
1. Office Suite Essentials: This course will strengthen your foundational computer literacy and equip you with the skills to confidently use office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. You’ll also learn how to manage digital files, use communication tools effectively, and organize information for everyday and professional use.
2. Graphic Design: You will explore the fundamentals of design and learn to create visually compelling content using tools like Canva, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop. Through creative projects and exercises, you’ll develop the ability to communicate ideas visually and build a portfolio.
3. Video Editing: Gain hands-on experience in planning and editing short videos using beginner-friendly software. You’ll learn the basics of storytelling, pacing, and visual communication, and create your own content tailored to your interests or advocacy work.
4. UI/UX Design: This course introduces you to the principles of User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) design. You’ll learn how to create user-friendly and accessible digital products using tools like Figma, while developing practical skills in wireframing, prototyping, and user journey mapping.
5. Web Development with WordPress CMS: This 12-week course provides participants with hands-on experience in building professional and responsive websites using WordPress, the world’s most popular content management system. Designed for beginners and aspiring web developers, the course covers everything from domain setup to advanced theme customization and plugin integration.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the programme, applicants must:
- Be a young girl, woman, or person with a disability
- Be between the ages of 15 and 35
- Have a genuine interest in digital skills and Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
- Be a resident of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja
- Be willing and able to commit to the full duration of the programme
