About the Programme
The flagship Mentoring Women in Business Programme is designed to support and empower women entrepreneurs in low- and middle-income countries by connecting them with experienced and dedicated business mentors from around the world. The programme recognises that access to practical business knowledge, professional networks, guidance and encouragement can play an important role in helping women entrepreneurs establish sustainable and successful businesses. Through the programme, each participant is paired with an experienced mentor for a period of one year. During this period, the mentor provides personalised guidance, practical advice and professional support tailored to the entrepreneur’s specific business needs and goals. The mentoring relationship enables participants to discuss business challenges, identify opportunities, strengthen their decision-making abilities and develop strategies for overcoming obstacles. The programme also provides an opportunity for women entrepreneurs to gain valuable insights from professionals with relevant business experience. Participants can receive guidance in areas such as business planning, financial management, marketing, leadership, customer development, business growth, networking and long-term sustainability. Beyond technical business knowledge, the programme encourages participants to build confidence, resilience and leadership skills. The Mentoring Women in Business Programme seeks to help women entrepreneurs achieve their business objectives while contributing to greater economic independence and stability. By providing sustained access to experienced mentors and international perspectives, the programme supports participants in building stronger businesses, increasing their wealth-generating capacity and creating greater financial security for themselves, their families and their communities.
