About the Fellowship

The Center for Community Investment is currently accepting applications for the Fulcrum Fellowship 2026. Interested applicants who are passionate about leadership, community development and addressing complex social challenges are encouraged to apply for this opportunity. The fellowship is designed to build a diverse and engaged cohort of individuals with experience across some of today’s most pressing issue areas. By bringing together participants with different experiences, perspectives and areas of expertise, the programme creates an environment that encourages collaboration, shared learning and the exchange of practical ideas for addressing challenges within communities. Throughout the 13-month programme, fellows participate in a range of activities designed to strengthen their leadership practice and enhance their ability to respond effectively to complex issues. The programme includes collaborative problem-solving, where fellows work with others to examine challenges and develop practical approaches; personalised coaching, which provides individualised support for their leadership development; and systems-thinking exercises, which help fellows understand the broader factors, relationships and structures that influence the issues they seek to address. The Fulcrum Fellowship also provides fellows with an opportunity to reflect on their leadership experiences, learn from their peers and develop new approaches to community-focused work. Through the combination of coaching, collaboration and systems thinking, participants are supported in turning their ideas and insights into practical and achievable strategies. By the end of the programme, fellows will have had the opportunity to deepen their leadership practice, strengthen their problem-solving capabilities and develop actionable strategies for their communities. Eligibility Requirements

Eligible participants are those who:

• Are leading strategic work that has meaningful importance to their organization, community, or the broader field
• Are committed to advancing racial equity and can demonstrate tangible results or sustained efforts in their work
• Have been working for at least 10 to 15 years in one of our focus fields shared ownership, climate resilience, housing and community development, creative placemaking, philanthropy, and finance
• Are willing to rethink and reframe current strategies to accelerate progress and deepen impact
• Are interested in developing deeper self-awareness and personal efficacy in their leadership
• Are eager to learn, give and receive coaching, and participate in a network of diverse, committed peers
• Can commit to the entire 13-month program, with written endorsement from their organization
