Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:

- Master’s applicants: Must be under the age of 35

- Master’s applicants: Must have obtained a bachelor’s degree
- Doctoral applicants: Must have obtained a master’s degree
- Not hold any other scholarship provided by the Chinese government
- Meet the admission requirements of Fudan University

Additional Language Requirements:
- For English-taught programs: TOEFL (≥90), IELTS (≥6.5), Duolingo (≥110), or PTE Academic (≥61)

Application Process
Step 1: Review Scholarship Notices
Visit the official Fudan International Students Office scholarship page and review the latest scholarship notices for your program.
Step 2: Complete Online Applications
For Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC):
- Complete the CSC online application on the Campus China website (Program Category: Type B, Agency No. 10246)
- Print and sign the completed form
For Shanghai Government Scholarship (SGS):
- Download the application form from the Fudan ISO website
- Fill it out, sign it, and keep a scanned copy
Step 3: Submit Fudan Application
- Visit the official Fudan University international student application portal: Click here
- Complete your application, selecting ‘Self-support’ as fund source and the relevant scholarship option
- Upload the required scholarship form (CSC or Shanghai Government) in the Fudan application system
Step 4: Prepare and Upload Supporting Documents
- Passport copy (valid until at least March 2027)
- Academic certificates (diplomas of highest degree conferred or proof of impending graduation)
- Academic transcripts
- Foreigner Physical Examination Form (valid for six months)
- Two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors
- Personal statement (less than 5000 English characters)
- Language certificate and score report (TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo, or PTE)
- Proof of No Criminal Record
- Proof of Financial Capacity or Financial Support
- Program-specific documents as required
Step 5: Pay Application Fee
Pay the application fee online (RMB 800 for degree programs, RMB 400 for non-degree programs). The application is considered invalid without payment.
Step 6: Review and Submit
- Review both scholarship and study program applications carefully for consistency
- Submit the complete application before the deadline
Step 7: Interview (if shortlisted)
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an online interview conducted by the Admission Committee (up to 15 minutes).
