About the Program
Applications are currently being accepted for the African Union International Centre for Girls’ and Women’s Education in Africa (AU CIEFFA) and ImpactHER Online Capacity Building Training Program 2026. This is a fully funded online capacity-building training programme designed to equip young Africans, entrepreneurs, educators, and aspiring business leaders with practical skills for the digital economy. The AU CIEFFA ImpactHER Scholarship 2026 in Africa is the 4th edition of this initiative, launched to close the gender gap in ICT and advance education, innovation, and entrepreneurship. The training covers digital skills, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and gender equality in education, all delivered at no cost to participants across the continent. The programme reflects the African Union’s commitment to inclusive growth and sustainable economic development by providing high-quality virtual learning opportunities. It will be delivered online in English, French, and Portuguese, with participants joining one-month learning cohorts beginning 31 August 2026.

- A Certificate for each program (participants need to attend at least 80% of the training courses per program to be eligible)

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be of African descent (woman or man)
- Demonstrate motivation to learn about digital skills, entrepreneurial skills, and financial literacy
- Demonstrate leadership abilities, aspirations, and a commitment to promoting girls’ and women’s education
- Have access to good internet connection and a device (laptop, computer, smartphone, or tablet)
- Have a clear understanding of one of the training’s languages: English, French, or Portuguese
- Hold African citizenship, residing on the continent or anywhere in the world
Training Format
The training is a one-month intensive programme featuring:
- Digital literacy – 2 weeks
- Entrepreneurship – 1 week
- Financial literacy – 1 week
Participants must take all three courses. The training commences on August 31, 2026, and participants will be divided into cohorts per month.
