About the Fellowship
The Women at the Front of Digital Space Fellowship is a six-week hybrid programme by Smart Aid Initiative designed to equip 20 young women aged 18–30 in Kaduna State with practical knowledge and skills in digital democracy, online safety, Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence, misinformation response, and digital advocacy. Persons with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply. Selected fellows will participate in virtual learning sessions, mentorship, peer learning, and a two-day physical bootcamp. They will also be expected to share their learning with other young women through a virtual step-down session.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be a young woman aged 18–30
- Reside in Kaduna State
- Be available to commit to all virtual sessions and the in-person bootcamp
- Be willing to organise and deliver a virtual step-down training session for other young women after the fellowship
Application Process
Step 1: Complete the Application Form
Applicants must fill out the online application form accurately and completely. All required fields must be answered for the application to be considered.
Step 2: Provide Personal Information
The application requests personal details including:
- Full name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Age
- Gender
- Disability status (optional, for accessibility accommodations)
- State and Local Government Area of Residence
- Social media activity and platform details
Step 3: Answer Motivation and Commitment Questions
Applicants must answer questions regarding:
- Motivation for joining the fellowship
- Commitment to attending all virtual sessions (six Saturdays from 5 September to 10 October 2026)
- Commitment to attending the two-day in-person bootcamp (13–14 October 2026)
- Commitment to delivering a virtual step-down training session
- Proposed idea for the step-down training session and target audience
- Consent for use of photos, videos, and testimonials for promotional purposes
