About the Fellowship
Applications are now open for the Governance for Women By Women Fellowship, an initiative by Tracka and BudgIT designed to equip women with practical skills in governance, accountability, and civic engagement. The fellowship seeks to empower women to actively participate in public accountability by building capacity in budget tracking, project monitoring, and civic education. Tracka is a service of BudgIT that enables citizens to track public projects and budgets across Nigeria. BudgIT is a civic organisation that combines open data, technology, and advocacy to promote transparency and accountability in governance. Through this fellowship, Tracka and BudgIT aim to strengthen women’s participation in governance and public accountability.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should be:
- Women working with or affiliated with a Civil Society Organization (CSO), media organization, or advocacy group
- Interested in budget tracking, project monitoring, and civic education
- Available to commit to a 2–3-month virtual fellowship
