About the Scholarship
The Korellis Reuther Scholarship supports aspiring female industrial designers in their final year of undergraduate study. Beyond financial support, this program seeks to build professional bridges by connecting recipients with seasoned female design executives. The scholarship was created to address the gender gap, as women make up only 19% of practicing industrial designers and 11% of design leadership in the U.S. The Korellis Reuther Scholarship is funded by Karen Korellis Reuther and Dieter Reuther to empower the next generation of female design leaders. Karen Korellis Reuther is a design executive with over forty years of experience, having worked with brands like Nike and Reebok. She is currently a Design Critic in Architecture at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design and founded the Inclusion by Design event series. The scholarship provides not only financial support but also mentorship, career advice, and professional connections.
