About the Scholarship
The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has announced the opening of applications for the Pragati Scholarship Scheme, a prestigious initiative funded entirely by the central government to promote female participation in technical education. This scholarship program is designed to empower young women by alleviating financial challenges associated with pursuing higher education in technical fields such as engineering, technology, and management. The Pragati Scholarship Scheme offers a significant opportunity for female students to access quality education without the burden of financial constraints. Each year, a total of 5,000 scholarships are available for degree-level students, providing vital support for those enrolled in AICTE-approved institutions. Additionally, an equal number of scholarships are allocated for diploma-level students, encouraging women to pursue technical education at various levels.
This initiative aims to foster greater gender diversity in traditionally male-dominated fields, promote women’s empowerment, and contribute to the development of a skilled workforce. The scholarship not only provides financial assistance but also serves as an encouragement for young women to achieve their academic and career aspirations in technical domains. Eligible students are encouraged to apply and take advantage of this fully-funded opportunity to advance their education and build a brighter future in the rapidly evolving landscape of science, technology, engineering, and management.
