About the Integration
Women Techmakers (WTM) has integrated with Technovation, a global nonprofit focused on making technology education more accessible and equitable. This strategic partnership brings together two complementary global communities with over 12–15 years of development each, creating a seamless pathway from early tech education to professional leadership.
The values and mission that brought members to Women Techmakers align with what drives Technovation: empowering women to lead, innovate, and transform technology while addressing systemic gender gaps in the field.
On the other hand,Technovation is a global nonprofit focused on making technology education more accessible and equitable. Through technology entrepreneurship programs and curriculum, Technovation equips a global community of learners with the skills, support, and agency to build technology solutions that solve real-world problems.

International Women’s Day 2026 – #BreakthePattern
Women Techmakers’ International Women’s Day (IWD) campaign brings together thousands of technologists to celebrate, connect, and learn. During March and April 2026, Women Techmakers Ambassadors will host events around the theme #BreakthePattern.
Events range from larger summits to intimate gatherings and cover content from technical talks, workshops, hackathons to inspirational keynotes, leadership sessions, or career panels.

“Breaking the pattern means to stop accepting things just because they’ve always been that way. This is the moment to disrupt old biases, step into spaces where we weren’t expected, and rewrite the rules of who gets to shape technology’s future.”

For Current WTM Ambassadors
Key Information:
- If you currently have Ambassador status with WTM, there is no need to reapply
- Download your data from Advocu before December 2025 to help Technovation confirm your Ambassadorship
- A grant application process will be available through Technovation’s WTM newsletter for future event funding
- The team is working on supporting travel and hopes to provide travel funding in the future
What About Existing Applications?
- If you applied to become an Ambassador in 2025, Technovation does not have access to those applications. Details about the 2026 Ambassador application process will be shared in Spring 2026

- If you have already made deposits on a planned IWD event, reach out to wtm@technovation.org to discuss possible options
- For event or travel funding requests submitted to Google, contact the Technovation team with details to review next steps
Frequently Asked Questions
Why was Technovation chosen for this integration?
Technovation brings an engagement model requiring deep time investment that builds enduring connections between mentors and young women. This approach creates lasting loyalty from the tangible impact participants see in young girls’ development. Adding to Technovation’s contribution is its measurement framework a competition structure with pre- and post-surveys that provide regular data on increases in confidence and competencies for mentors.
Will I have access to Google Developer programs, courses, and events?
Technovation is working to provide access to continued technical learning courses, programs, and events not just from Google but from other industry leaders as well. They are working with many Google Developer Group (GDG) Leads in the community to help determine the best way to provide that access.
Why did some content get deleted?
Much of the content previously featured Google employees or materials not legally owned by Technovation. To comply with legal and privacy requirements, that content had to be removed. Technovation will work closely with the WTM community to create new content featuring Women Techmakers.
