About the Scholarship
The In Her Name Scholarship Program 2026 is now accepting applications. This national program, delivered by the Australian Multicultural Foundation in partnership with the Carla Zampatti Foundation, supports women from migrant and multicultural backgrounds who are building careers, businesses, and creative futures in Australia. In 2026, five scholars will be awarded $10,000 each, alongside mentorship, networks, and national visibility to accelerate their growth. The program is designed as more than just funding it is recognition, investment, and long-term support. Each scholar becomes part of the growing In Her Name alumni network of women shaping industries, communities, and culture across Australia.
Scholarship Categories
Five scholarships are awarded in 2026 across four categories:
1. Fashion Entrepreneurship Prize ($10,000)
- For: One young woman ready to grow a business in the fashion industry or turn her skills and ideas into one.
- Additional Benefits: Sponsored to gain practical runway experience at the Kaleidoscope World of Fashion Festival in Perth; receives mentorship through BN Collective.
- Sponsored by: Carla Zampatti Foundation
- Delivered in partnership with: Kaleidoscope World of Fashion
2. Creative Industries Prize ($10,000)
- For: One young woman to develop her creative work or accelerate a new/existing self-developed creative project.
- Additional Benefits: Geographically accessible mentorship to develop and showcase work; mentorship through BN Collective.
- Sponsored by: Scanlon Foundation
3. Business Prize ($10,000)
- For: One young woman to develop or scale a business, or turn skills, ideas, or creativity into one.
- Additional Benefits: 12-month one-on-one business mentorship with Wendy El-Khoury, Founder and CEO of Wedded Wonderland; mentorship through BN Collective.
- Sponsored by: Scanlon Foundation
- Delivered in partnership with: Wendy El-Khoury
4. Career Accelerator – Health and Allied Health (Two $10,000 Prizes)
- For: Two young women to accelerate their careers in Australia’s health sectors.
- Additional Benefits: Participation in the Worldwide SHEroes 10-month mentoring program; mentorship through BN Collective.
- Sponsored by: Verrocchi Family Foundation
- Delivered in partnership with: Worldwide SHEroes
Benefits for All Scholars
Each In Her Name Scholar receives:
- $10,000 scholarship investment
- 12 months of structured mentorship and support by BN Collective
- Access to industry leaders, mentors, and partners
- National recognition and visibility
- Access to the In Her Name alumni network for ongoing community connection beyond the scholarship year
Eligibility Criteria
This scholarship is designed to move women forward who are building something of their own. Applicants must:
- Be aged 18–35 years
- Be a woman or self-identify with womanhood (including transgender women and non-binary individuals)
- Have experienced migration to or settlement in Australia
- Be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or humanitarian visa holder
Application Process
Applications are submitted online. You will be asked to select your scholarship category.
Application Requirements:
- Personal Statement: Share your journey, goals, and personal aspirations for applying to the scholarship.
- Pitch: Explain what you will use the scholarship for and how it will support your growth.
- Supporting Materials: Submit materials that showcase your work or personal aspirations.
Alternative Submission Method:
