About the Programme
Applications are now open for the 2026 BIC Africa Online Training Programme for Women Entrepreneurs from Tanzania and Zanzibar. This initiative is designed to support approximately 20 selected women entrepreneurs who wish to scale their businesses and take them to the next level of growth and sustainability. The programme is delivered by BIC Africa (Business Innovation Centres Africa), an initiative funded by the European Union and implemented by EBN (European Business & Innovation Centre Network) to strengthen business innovation support services in African countries. This targeted training programme for Tanzanian women entrepreneurs reflects BIC Africa’s commitment to fostering female entrepreneurship and economic empowerment in the region.
Programme Schedule and Structure
The programme will run over two weeks, from 23 March to 2 April 2026, featuring a total of 6 training modules and group coaching sessions, each lasting 2 hours (6 × 2-hour sessions).
Session Schedule (provisional, 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm EAT):
Week 1:
- Tuesday, 24 March 2026
- Wednesday, 25 March 2026
- Thursday, 26 March 2026
Week 2:
- Tuesday, 31 March 2026
- Wednesday, 1 April 2026
- Thursday, 2 April 2026
All sessions will be delivered online, allowing participants to join from anywhere in mainland Tanzania or Zanzibar.
Programme Content
The training programme includes:
4 Online Interactive Training Modules (each lasting 2 hours) covering:
- Mission and Vision
- Unique Value Proposition
- Business Model development
- Go-To-Market Strategy
- Finance and Financial Management Tools
- Access to finance and Investment Readiness
2 Online Group Coaching Sessions (each lasting 2 hours) on:
- Leadership development
- Storytelling and The Art of the Pitch
Participants will engage with leading women experts in entrepreneurship and business from Africa, Europe, and beyond, gaining practical insights and strategies they can immediately apply to their ventures.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicant Requirements:
- Be a woman founder, co-founder, or CEO of a startup or company (minimum age 18 years)
- Have a good working knowledge of English, demonstrated through the use of English in the application
Business Requirements:
- Already in existence and registered
- Generating revenue
- Based in mainland Tanzania or Zanzibar
- Have visibility, such as a website and/or social media channels
Preferably, the business should:
- Be registered for at least 1 year
- Have an operational team
- Show potential for scalability

- Participate for free and receive a digital certificate upon attending at least five sessions
