Hauwa Ojeifo Scholarship 2026 — Fully Funded to One Young World Summit

The Hauwa Ojeifo Scholarship 2026 is now accepting applications. This fully funded leadership scholarship has been established through a partnership between One Young World and the Hauwa Ojeifo Global Impact Fund for Women & Girls. Its primary mission is to support emerging young leaders who demonstrate unwavering dedication to improving the lives of women and girls across critical gender, health, and social issues.

What It Covers

Selected scholars receive comprehensive financial support including:

• Return economy flights to Cape Town, South Africa
• Hotel accommodation throughout the Summit duration
• Meals and local transport during the event
• Full access to the One Young World Summit 2026 (taking place 3–6 November)
• Leadership development through the One Young World Global Leadership Programme and Action Accelerator
• Lifetime membership in the One Young World Ambassador Community
• Opportunity to apply for grant funding of up to $25,000 USD to scale impact initiatives

All benefits are fully sponsored, meaning no travel or participation fees are required from selected scholars.

Who Should Apply

Ideal candidates for this scholarship should meet the following criteria:

• Aged 18–30 at the time of the Summit (November 2026)
• Active leaders driving meaningful change through an organization or initiative
• Working on critical issues affecting women and girls, including:
• Mental health and neurodiversity
• Domestic and sexual violence
• Disability rights and ageing rights
• Sexual and reproductive health
• Maternal and child health
• Girl-child issues (such as child marriage and female genital mutilation)
• Non-communicable diseases

• Based in Africa, Asia, or the Middle East
• Committed to actively engaging with fellow scholars and global networks

Note: Candidates older than 30 may be considered if they can demonstrate strong evidence of impact. Individuals under 18 are not eligible to apply.
