A combination of funding, strategic guidance, and growth support is now available for women-owned and women-led businesses across the Greater Philadelphia area. An open application window for the 2025–2026 grant cycle has been announced by the JVS Philadelphia Fund for Women, running from December 1, 2025, through January 30, 2026. This program is crafted for women entrepreneurs prepared to scale their ventures and who desire not only capital but also mentorship, expert advisory services, and connection to a robust network of accomplished women leaders.
About the JVS Philadelphia Fund for Women
The growth of high-potential, women-owned businesses in the Greater Philadelphia region is the core mission of the JVS Philadelphia Fund for Women. Established by Judee von Seldeneck, a distinguished business leader and entrepreneurship advocate, the Fund tackles the key barriers frequently faced by women-led companies: obtaining capital, securing strategic expertise, and accessing influential networks.
A holistic model of support forms the philosophy of the Fund, acknowledging that lasting growth demands both financial investment and personalized coaching.
Funding Pathways
Women entrepreneurs are supported by the Fund through two primary, complementary routes:
- Grants: The main program provides grant funding integrated with a full coaching and mentorship package. Businesses in the growth stage that require capital to broaden operations, access new markets, or improve their offerings will find this pathway ideal.
- JVS Investments (Technology Focus): Equity-based investment for women-led technology-driven startups is facilitated through JVS Investments. This pathway is operated in collaboration with Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Southeastern Pennsylvania, a premier regional supporter of innovation.
- Technology ventures seeking investment must submit an application to and satisfy the criteria established by Ben Franklin Technology Partners.
